Stéphane Fizaine

Physiotherapist - coach - Nutritherapist

Stéphane is the ally every dancer needs. He draws from his passion and experience in dance since 2001. He comprehends the challenges dancers encounter and emphasizes body control to prevent injuries. His mission is to ensure a healthy dance practice, prioritizing dancers' well-being. He explores safe ways to push limits, maximize potential, and guide dancers on their journey.

Dynamic, passionate, and dedicated to excellence in physiotherapy and physical performance, I am your privileged ally for a healthy and limitless dance and sports practice.

Physiotherapist, certified manual therapist, and nutrition therapist certified by CERDEN.

Graduated since 2011, I mainly deal with:

  • Dancer pathologies
  • Athlete pathologies, orthopedic, and traumatic
  • Musculoskeletal disorders

Since January 2020, I have been accompanying athlete dancers under the status of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation of sports dance, to prevent the risk of injury and ensure their management when one occurs.

I regularly attend additional training to best adapt my care with my patients. Here are the main techniques I use:

  • Myo-fascial and articular manual therapy
  • Mulligan Concept: mobilization techniques aiming for immediate pain relief and/or recovery of range of motion.
  • Neuro-dynamic mobilization: nerve mobilization technique
  • Trigger points: muscle tension release technique
  • Myo-aponeurotic hooks: tendon, muscle, and ligament mobilization technique
  • Nutrition therapy: dietary rebalancing

Aside from this, I continuously educate myself through reading books and scientific articles, as well as participating in congresses, seminars, conferences, or exchanges with colleagues. I am also invited as a speaker in continuing education at UCL as well as various conferences. I am regularly invited by various companies to give lectures, workshops, and webinars.

As my passion since 2001 is dance, it is natural that I direct my physiotherapy practice towards dancers' care. I have mainly practiced and taught breaking, but I also have experience in various other styles.

My holistic approach integrates my in-depth knowledge of physiology and anatomy, enriched by my own journey and intimate understanding of the challenges dancers face. Over the years, I have observed that many dancers have excellent body control without understanding its functioning. This can result in unintentional disregard for the body's physiological limits and potentially increase the risk of injuries.

I position myself as a caring therapist, attentive and available to maximize the individual potential of each patient and dancer. I advocate for a healthy dance practice that aims for performance while preserving the body. My strengths lie in my experience as a practicing and teaching dancer, my personal experience of the discipline's constraints and past injuries, all combined with my experience and expertise as a healthcare professional.

I invite you to explore together how we can safely exceed YOUR limits, optimize YOUR potential, and celebrate the freedom of movement you deserve. Come discover a tailored care journey, guided by experience, passion, and constantly renewed expertise. Make an appointment to write the next chapter of YOUR dance, physical performance, and well-being story with me.

Justine Electeur

Physiotherapist - fasciatherapist

Passionately merging art with physiotherapy, she prioritizes building self-confidence in the body. Specialized since 2016 in treating postural disorders and chronic pathologies, she continues her education. Her dance background drives her to teach contemporary styles to various populations, emphasizing respect and autonomy. Believing in self-determination for dance quality, she integrates physiotherapy for holistic health.

Attentive and passionate, I embody these traits in both my artistic world and my physiotherapy practice. Creating or recreating a climate of self-confidence in one's body is my priority.

Graduating in 2016, I have specialized over the years in postural disorders, chronic pathologies, and musculoskeletal issues. Continuously evolving through additional training, I never rest on my laurels.

Dance has been my cornerstone since childhood. I express it through choreographic creations as a choreographer-performer and concurrently as an educator through various dance/movement workshops, primarily focusing on contemporary styles.

I'm fascinated by the body and its diversities. This is why I enjoy introducing movement to diverse populations: aspiring dancers, non-dancers, adults with disabilities, as well as adolescents and children.

My approach fosters autonomy and body awareness, acknowledging individual limits, weaknesses, and strengths.

The primary determinant of long-term dance quality lies within oneself.

I appreciate, with humility and discretion, the knowledge acquired through physiotherapy as a tool to promote essential aspects: physical and mental health.
